We've finally got our new headteachair

EIGHT weeks ago it was empty.
But now the coveted chair soon to be vacated by outgoing headteacher Peter Rawcliffe has finally been filled.
The vacant post at Waterloo Primary – one of Blackpool's biggest schools – had to be re-advertised three times.
But now new man Mark Gray has tried out the leather chair for the first time ahead of being handed the reins when Mr Rawcliffe retires in July.
He said: "It seems a great place and I can't wait to start.
"The last time I came to Blackpool was when I came to watch my team Sheffield Wednesday play Blackpool years ago.
"The only other time I can remember coming was for a charity parachute jump from Blackpool airport when I was teaching at a school in Bradford. So I have had a good aerial view of the place."
School bosses were starting to get worried when just two teachers applied to the first job advert.
Five applied when it was re-advertised but three of those pulled out before the interview stage, leaving just two candidates, neither of which the governors found suitable.
So it was a case of third time lucky when they found new man Mr Gray.

The Sheffield-born headteacher had only been back in the country 10 days when he spotted the post in the situations vacant section.
He had just returned from a two-year stint as head of a large primary in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mr Gray, 46, is now frantically house hunting in the area with wife Jane and their three sons Matthew, 11, William, 14, and Dominic, 12.
He added: "They are all really looking forward to the move.
"I am a keen golfer so I am pleased to see there are a few nice golf clubs in the area. There also seems to be lots for the boys to do and I am sure we will all be very happy."
The UK is facing a massive shortage of primary headteachers and it had been feared applicants were being put off the Waterloo job because Mr Rawcliffe was just too tough an act to follow.
During his time he turned the fortunes of the school around, earning it an "outstanding" rating from school watchdogs Ofsted.
But Mr Gray is not daunted.
He added: "This will be my fourth headship. Two of the other three were what I would describe as challenges in one way or another and one was very similar to this in size and reputation.
"I view it as a great possibility."
