Pupils at Waterloo Primary School in Blackpool will look the part this year, thanks to a kit sponsorship deal with a local firm.
During the last school year Jamie Truelove, Year 4 co-ordinator and coach of the school's boys football and athletics teams at Waterloo Primary School, noticed that the existing school sports clothing was desperately in need of replacement.

Mr Truelove approached a number of companies looking for sponsorship for the kit, and Connaught Partnerships Ltd agreed to provide the new kits for the football, cricket, rugby and netball teams, as well as athletics clothing, sweatshirts and raincoats.
Mr Truelove said: "We had some real sporting success last year, such as the football team reaching the Bloomfield Cup Final and finishing runners up in Blackpool School's League, and as with any success linked to the school this helped create a feel good' factor amongst pupils and staff.
"However, the poor condition of the existing kit didn't reflect the success we were enjoying and it was a real shame for the kids, but we just didn't have the funds to replace it."
The new clothing will now replace the old school sports kits and will be used by approximately 360 pupils aged from 7 to 11 in competitive fixtures.
"The new kit was very much needed and it really helps to raise the profile of sport in the school," said Mr Truelove. "The pupils look and feel good when they wear the new kit and as a result they want to get into the various teams and wear it with pride."
David Mawson, Connaught area director for the North West, said: "Sport is an important part of school life in terms of the obvious health benefits, as well as helping to raise aspirations, and we hope the new sports kit can go some way to helping the school achieve success."
