During Viking week we design and make our own shield, helmet and sword.  At the end of the week we have a Viking feast, in the hall, where we make Viking soup, flat bread and elderflower drink.  The feast is great.  In addition to the foods we make, we try some beef.  Some of us are chosen to be monk slaves and we serve all the Vikings before we eat at our own table.  In the afternoon we learn how to fight the way the Vikings did.

On the Friday, after having researched all about the life of a Viking, we set up a museum in the hall and invite both parents and Year 2 children to come and look around.
