“Year 4 at Waterloo Primary are extremely hard As well as the daily opportunities to improve and enhance reading, writing and numerical skills, Year 4 children experience wide-ranging opportunities from a rich and well-resourced curriculum. Part of the Year 4 journey witnesses children visit Ancient Egypt via Tudor England, continue their French lessons, participate in fortnightly Fun Fridays, design a T- shirt for the T- shirt machine, dance to “Thriller”, create, perform and video gymnastic sequences as well as learn to swim during the spring and summer terms and much, much more.
Making clay goblets during Tudor Day. Reading scales during Fun Friday. Quill writing. Creating playscripts. Mr Truelove, Ms Whitby and Mr Fox teach the three Year 4 classes and are supported by four fantastic LSAs in Mrs Gray, Mrs Haynes, Mrs Scott and Ms Waine. The Year Four team believe in a creative and fun learning environment and aim to cater for all children by meeting visual, kinaesthetic and audio learners’ needs. There is a balance between nurture and encouraging the children to become more independent as they prepare for the upper junior years. Homework Games and PE (outdoor and indoor)
